Description:
About 2/5 of this townland is bog. 2/5 pasture of the very best description and about 1/5 choice tillage. There is a large spring in the S. W. extremity of which there are told many (scarcely credible) stories. There is another well in N. W. corner called St. Patrick's Well, presently dry in consequence of an uncharitable circumstance that took place convenient to it, but formerly the water of which possessed many spiritual and temporal maladies. There are 2 Danish Forts in this townland. The [Unable to read.] above alluded to it let at £1.5.0 per acre by A. Blake, Esq. Of Galway. County Cess 1s. 13/4d.
Situation:
Forms the Southern part of the parish, is bounded by the townlands of Bealagarra North, Gortcam and Bullaun in this parish, by Lackafinn South and Budfield in that of Kilconickny, by [unable to read], Lisaduff and [unable to read] in that of Loughrea and by Cahernagarry in that of Kilreekil.
