Bealayorra NorthtownlandAbout 2/5 of this townland is bog. 2/5 pasture of the very best description and about 1/5 choice tillage. There is a large spring in the S. W. extremity of which there are told many (scarcely credible) stories. There is another well in N. W. corner called St. Patrick's Well, presently dry in consequence of an uncharitable circumstance that took place convenient to it, but formerly the water of which possessed many spiritual and temporal maladies.
