Description:
About 35 acres of bog in the N. and 25 in the E. There is about 1/2 of the whole good pasture and the remainder better tillage. There are 4 villages in this townland, 3 of which are named. Nothing remarkable in this townland. (1 Danish Fort and 2 townlands). There is a school supported by the pupils, 23 males and 7 females, all R. C. Proprietor Andrew Blakeney, Esq., Galway. Rent per acre 15s. 7d. County Cess 7s. 13/4d.
Situation:
In the centre of the parish. Is bounded by the townlands of Carhoomore, Gortcom and Bealagaria South in this parish, by Cahernagung, in that of Kilreekil,, by Ballymurrig in that of the Kiltulla and by Dunmore in that of Grange.
