Description:
This is a pretty sized townland, of a long and irregular form. All arable. Contains one Danish Fort, and one old castle.Proprietor Lord Clanricarde.Rent per acre £1.4s.County Cess 1s. 5d. per acre half yearly.
Situation:
In the Eastern part of the parish, Barony of Loughrea. Is bounded by the townlands of Lackalea, Kannargaud and Bushfield in this prish, by Bealagarra and Bullaun, in that of Bullaun, by Turo in that of Kiltulla and by Ballykeeran in that of Lickerrig.
