This R. C. Chapel is built in T form measuring in length 120 links by 90 links, situated N. and South.

The chief part of this parish belongs to the Earl of Clancarty, James McDermott, Joseph Michl. McDonell, and William Kelly, Esq., held by deed for ever. There is a large tract of bog in the S. East side of this parish. The arable part is considered to be in a good state of cultivation. The inhabitants live middling comfortable and the houses and roads in good repair.

Cloonascragh River

Is a narrow river nearly an equal breadth of above 40 links, runs West and East, crosses the Grand Canal and after a serpentine corse falls into the river Suck in that part of it which divided the townland Correenbeg in the Parish of Moore and County of Roscommon from the townland Cloonascragh and Lissmanny in this parish.

Lisheennavannoga

This townland is held under a deed forever by Patrick Blake Esq. The roads and houses are in good repair. It contains 440a. 1r. 12p. The town of Aughrim is about 3 miles West of it, the land is in a good state of cultivation. It pays of County Cess £4. 8. 2.

An ancient castle standing in this position, now in ruins. Lisseenoragh Castle so called.

It is a middling large fort of an oval shape, by taking a diameter it is 3 chains - Lisskeen Fort so called.

It is held under a deed forever by John Maher Esq. and is situated about 2 miles S.E. of Aughrim. The North part of this townland is under a demesne belonging to the landlord. The land is of a good quality and all of which is under cultivation. Towards the Western boundary are 2 Danish forts. It contains 105a. 1r. 24p. Pays County Cess £3. 19. 7.

This house is situated in the demesne of Liskelly within about 350 links of the mearing of Attybrassil and Liskelly townlands. It is about 70 links long by 30 links wide. The proprietor is John Maher, Esq., who holds it under a deed for ever.

It is nearly circular. The eastern side bounds a road which runs nearly through the centre of the aforesaid townland.
