Description:
A small village consisting of a parish church, Pettisession house and a police station, the remainder of the buildings are of a very inferior description. There are two fairs held here in the year viz. 24th May, 11th December. They customary hold a Fair on Easter Monday.15th May, 1838.
Situation:
In the North end of the parish of Tena, Barony Leitrim, about 9 miles N. of Woodford and about 8 miles N. West of Portumna.
