Description:
This townland is property of Nicholas O'Darcy, Esq. Who holds it under a deed for ever. It is situated about 53/4 miles N. by East of the town of Ahascragh. In the South portion of this townland is bog deep[Unable to read.] and flat. The remainder which is about 1/3 is under arable and pasture of a tolerable quality. The houses and lanes are in good repair. One third of it is under arable and pasture. It contains 559a. 2r. 10p. It pays to County Cess £4. 8s. 6d.
Situation:
Lies in the N. East extremity of the parish bounded by the townland Gurtananin and Boughill in this parish, by Muckanagh South in the parish of Killeroran, by the river Shiven which separates it from Muckanagh North in said parish and by the River Suck which separates it from Crecher [unable to read] and Ballyforan in the parish of Taughboy, Barony of Athlone, County Roscommon.
