This parish in its greatest extent from from E. to W. is 2[Unable to read.] British[Unable to read.] miles, and from N. to S. 4 3/4 British miles nearly. It is divided into 26 townlands. The principal roads leading through this parish are from Galway to Dublin and from Craughwell to Athenry. The nearest market towns are Galway, Loughrea and Claranbridge.
Situation:
In the Baronies of Dunkellin and Kiltartan and County of Galway. Bounded on the North by the parishes of Killeeneen and Athenry. On E. by Kilconeron and Lickerrig. On South by Kilconicky, Killogilleen and Ardrahan, and on W. by Kileely and Killeeneen.
