Description:
Agent John R. Berwick, Esq., Ballinahinch or Dublin. Proprietor Augustus John O’Neile, Esq., Late Lieut 13 Light Dragoons. Agent Mr. John Mullen, Ballyconneely, Ballindoon Parish. Rent £90 per year. No lease. Soil rocky having a large tract of bog. Co. Cess 20¼d. paid half yearly for each of 30 acres. Crops of potatoes and oats middling. 3 villages Emlagh-na-gry, Baur-a-walla and Ummerra-dhee-wee-nagh, Ocean S. of townland, Dooholla Bridge and River in the mere of Emlaghmore R. runs into the sea Lough-na-mrack-keegh in boundary. Lough-baurowna N. E. of townland in mere of Emloghmore, Lough-na-lauba N.E. of Lough Baurauna in mere of Boolangair and sends a stream separating Dooholo from Emloghmore which stream falls into Baurown Lough, Loughanulrigh in E. part of townland in mere of Emloghmore, Loughnamona E. part of townland in mere of Emloghmore and a small stream from it fall into Emloghmore River which river comes from Loughoy, Baurowna, Lough-shaun in N. part of townland in mere of Currissaun. Loughlact Shaun in N. part of townland touching Ballyconneely and an other not in the boundary Corrig-wee and Corrigna-Berthrigh in sea.
Situation:
In the South side of the parish bounded on the North by the townland of Boolagair and Ballyconneely, West by Foorgloss, South by the Atlantic Ocean and townland Emlaghmore and on the East by the townland of Emlaghmore. In the Barony of Ballinahinch and County of Galway.
