Description:
The estate of Lord Wallscourt. Part of it is held by lease and the remainder by tenants at will. Rent from £2 to £2. 10 p. acre. Soil a light moory clay of an inferior quality. The general produce oats, potatoes and barley about 8 families are living on it and in general poor. Houses built of stone. The sea washes it on N.W. and S. There is a well in it called Tubberbrean and a large fort called Rathmore.
Situation:
W. of the parish. Bounded on the N.W. and South by the highwater mark of the sea and on the E. by prospect and Ballynacliha.
