Proprietor John J. Bodkin, M.P. Quarrymount, Tuam. Agent John ?, Quarrymount. Agent ? of this townland is held by 41 farmers and 12 cottiers. Lease of 3 lives. Rent £1. 1s. per acre. The house of Rahoon is in this townland. The residence Roderick O’Connor, Esq., with a good garden and offices and a small Demesne nicely planted. The undernamed two story high houses are on this townland with a small portion of land annexed to each – Kingston Lodge; Bath Lodge, Circular Road Lodge; Taylors Hill, Vicars Croft, Taylors Hill St. Helens, Mr. Fitzgerald and Mr. Sherridan, Proprietors, pay from £2. 10s. to £5 per acre for their holdings. In this townland here is a grave yard and the site of an old church in the centre, also in the Demesne of Rahoon is a Blessed Well called St. James Well.
Situation:
E. of the parish. Bounded on the North by Balagh, on E. by Leitra and Shantholla, on S. by Theevgorriv and Poulnarooma East and W. and on West by Clybaun and Mincloon.
