Description:
Proprietors Earls of Leitrim and Charlemont. Agent Mr. James Fair of Fairhil. All in the possession of proprietor. Soil all good and the greatest part pasture. Co. Cess 12½d. paid per acre for 60 acres. This townland composes part of Rosshil Demesne at present upon which stands the Lodge of Rosshill on the brink of Lough Mask. Names of islands on Lough Mask: Illaun Baun, Illaunmore and Corrigeanchunna, Innishrehna. Rosshill Lodge stands in the N.W. corner of the townland.
Situation:
In the East side of the parish bounded on the North by Lough Mask, West by townlands Cappaghnagoppul and Kilbeg Upper, South by Kilbeg Upper and Rusheen West and on the East by Cloonbur and Ross Hill. In the Barony of Ross and County of Galway.
