Description:
Proprietor Sir Richard O’Donnel, Esq. Newport. Agents Allexander Clandenning, Esq., Westport and Allexander Lambert, Ballinrobe, held under lease by tenants. Rent £87. 13s. 10d. per year. Soil all mountain part steep green and mixed pasture with some arable at the valley also a little tillage. Co. Cess 11¼d. paid per acre for 81 acres. Crops middling. R. meres between Griggins and Kilmilkin Bridge.
Situation:
A central townland bounded on the North by the townland of Gowlaun, West by Muntierowen East, Lee and Derreen, South by Derreen and Kilmilkin and on the East by Breenaun, Cammanagh and Currrareevaugh. In the Barony of Ross and County of Galway.
