Description:
This townland is chiefly rocky and mountainous. There is a portion of rocky arable towards the South. Lough ar Inmore is on the E. boundary. Lough Kilraunamulrooia is on the N.E. boundary. Loughalurra is on the N.W. boundary. Loughnaskannave and Loughnathulla are on the West boundary. Tully point on seashore S. of t.ld. There is a police barrack in this townland.
Situation:
S. of the parish. Bounded on the N. by Ballynahouen North, on the E. by Invrin, on the S. by Carton South and Galway Bay and on the W. by Ballynahouen South.
