Description:
A. F. St. George. This townland is principally mountainous with a great deal of bog. There is a good deal of cultivation, in this townland, some of it near the N. boundary is subject to flood and also a small portion about the middle of townland. Loughbeg is on the N.W. boundary and Loughgurtaghholla on S. boundary with the following islands in it:- Illaungulkee, Illaunapurtlee, Illaunaprehaun and Illaunafare, Loughanprask is a small pool towards the S. of townland. There is a grave yard N. of the road which bears no name. The houses in this townland have no name.
Situation:
N.E. of the parish. Bounded on the N. by Collanamuck, on the E. by Bullakeeaun, on the S. by Cloonabinna and on the W. by Pullough.
