Description:
Proprietor Augustus John O’Neile, Esq., Late Lieut, 13 Light Dragoons, Bunnowen Castle, Clifden. Agent Mr. John Mullen, Ballyconneely, Ballindoon Parish. Rent £100 per year. No lease soil rocky having a large tract of bog. Co Cess 20¼d. paid half yearly for each of 12 acres. Crops of oats and potatoes middling. 4 villages:- Eisrke, Gorreeduff and Baurnakeva, Treenlaur and Sruffnadoling. Loughs- Colly-na-nillaun,, Gorriv chorrig, Corrig na cranna in Murvymore. Lough Colla-nillaun has 4 islands with poles and in mere of Murvy sends a stream to Lough Forrovaun which is in the East part of townland and mere of Murvy. Loughrannghaun. N.E. of latter on mere of Murvy, Lough na mrackduff S. of latter, Lough a thurthaun N.W. of latter.
Situation:
In the southern extremity of the parish bounded on the North by Loughnaboolard, Parish of Moyrus and townland Calla, West by Calla and the Atlantic Ocean, South by the Atlantic Ocean and Parish Moyrus and on the East by the Parish of Moyrus and Loughnaboolard. In the Barony of Ballinahinch and County of Galway.
