Description:
This town is a market town, the market is held on Friday. There are 5 fairs held here in the year. It is a good town of business. The houses in general are in good repair. There is a Dispensary on it. It is a Post Town.
Situation:
Ahascragh Town is situated in the West of this parish on the townland of Ahascragh West in the barony of Kilconnel. It lies on the side of a hill near a small river of the same name.
