Description:
This parish contains 8,206 statute acres and is 5 miles long from N. to South, 3½ miles from E. to W. in breadth. It is generally level and the most part is arable land. The Mail Coach road from Tuam to Dublin traverses it from the N.W. to the S.E.

Situated on the E. of the County of Galway and in the Barony of Tiaquin, 5 miles N.E. of Monivea, 1 mile S. of Mount Bellew Bridge and 1 mile West of Castleblakeny.
