Translated correctly. It is on the banks of a river, which is correct, fort or ford.
Description:
- Daly, Proprietor. This townland contains 365 acres, 271 of which are cultivated, 91 uncultivated and 3 of bog. Lease 1 life, is let at the yearly rent of £1. 1s. per acre. County Cess from 1s. 4d. to 1s. 6d. per acre. The soil is of a light gravelly nature. Produce potatoes, wheat, barley, corn and flax. No mineral.
Situation:
Situated at the S. boundary (a little W. of the centre of said boundary) of the Parish, is bounded N. by Killtulla North, E. by Kiltulla South, S. by the Parish of Kilconeeron, and W. by Curraghmore and Curraghbeg. In Athenry Barony.
