Description:
Was a refuge for Valentine Jordon who in the year 1798 fled from the County Mayo thither. He was the leader of a great and illegal faction for which he was afterwards transported for life. This Crevice is about 6 or 8 feet long inside, the mouth of which is hardly capable of receiving a man and is covered with mossy rocks about 5 feet in diameter within he kept a fire etc. It is about 3 feet high interiorly.

Situated in the W. end of Courhoor, at N. end of and about 8 chains E. of the Lough of Courhoor.
