Description:
This pass is on the road which communicates from Aughrim to Cloonmairakaun and Coolulla. It derives its name from the circumstance of Luttrell as it is said having passed his troop thro’ it.
Situation:
It is situated within about 15 chains N. N. West of the town of Aughrim on a road at the mearing which divides Cloonmairakaun and Coolulla. This has been the pass or road thro’ which Luttrell brought his troops. It is also situated in the Barony of Kilconnel.
