Description:

This townland is the property of E. Blake, Esq., of Frenchfort. Agent Mr. O’Flaherty of Headford. It is occupied by one farmer and 1 cottier, no lease, rent 3/6 per acre. County Cess 2s. 6d. per acre. About 25 acres are cultivated producing oats, flax and potatoes. The remainder is very rocky and uncultivated. South of townland is a natural hole called Pulboy 1½ chains in diameter and about 1 chain deep. It is of a conical form, the sides are covered with long grass of a yellow appearance.

Situation:

W of the Pairsh. Bounded on the North by Coolaough, on the E. by Gurraun, North and part of Gurraun S., on the South by the parish boundary and part of townland Cartron and on the W. by the parish boundary.
