Description:
This townland is distant 11 miles North of Ahascragh and 12 miles West of Roscommon. It is mostly flat and dry of middling good quality. The North part of this townland is subject to inundation. The houses are of a bad description and in bad repair. Held under a deed for ever by John Gerrard, Esq. More than one half this townland is bog and pays £4.18.4. County Cess. It contains a. r. p.
Situation:
Lies in the S. West extremity of the parish is bounded by Rushestown and Tully townlands in this parish, by Carhooagoppul in the parish of Ballinakill and barony of Killian, by Clooncunnore and Curraghlehannagh in the parish Kilkerrin and barony of Tiaquin.
