Description:
Property of Trinity College, Dublin. Agent Alexander Nesbitt, Jnr. Esq., No. 96 Stephens Green South, Dublin. Bulked rent f £25 yearly. All under leasse. Soil poor, spent mountain very rocky having some steep mountain. Poor crops oats and potatoes. Co. Cess 11 ¼ d. paid per acre for 222 acres. A mountain stream divides this townland from Ballard and runs by the Bridge into Lough Corrib. Bridge separates Carrig is called Kellglosh. 2 rocks Corrigeenea and 2 Islands, Illaun a chnuck. No. antiquities.
Situation:
A central townland. Bounded on the North by the Parish of Ross: on the West by townland Corrig Middle, on the South by Lough Corrib : and on the East by Ballard. In the Barony of Ross and County of Galway.
