Description:
The Seat of General Sir John Taylor. An old Irish Castle here, in good preservation and inhabited – a new house built in 1802 is attached to the South West side of this old castle, the whole so called Castle Taylor – an extensive Demesne here, woods, plantation, ornamental grounds, pleasure grounds, gardens, orchards, abounding with fruit of different kinds, the whole plan has a grand appearance.
