Description:
There is an old Irish Castle here in good preservation inhabited by Mr. Martins Domestics and also a good house built by Mr. Martin’s Ancestors attached to the West side of the old castle. This new house is the seat of John Martin, Esq. whose ancestors were in possession of this old castle since the year 1408 and who came to Ireland with Earl Strongbow from a County Shropshire in England. Spacious gardens, Hot Houses, Green Houses with various kinds of fruits..
Situation:
In the townland of Tullira, parish of Ardrahan, Barony of Dunkellin and County Galway, one mile South of Ardrahan village.
