Description:
This parish in its greatest extent from E. to W. is about 4½ ?, and from N. to S. nearly 3 British miles. It is divided into 27 townlands The principal road is from Galway to Ardraghan. The nearest market towns are Clarenbridge and Ardraghan, a part of this townland is isolated and of smaller extent runs E. ¾ mile.
Situation:
In the Baronies of Dunkellin, Kiltartan and Loughrea, and County of Galway. Bounded on the North by the Parishes of Stradbally and Killeely, on E. by Ardrahan on S. by said parish and Killeenavara and on W. by Drumacoo and part of the sea.
