There is no other name given than that of townland. There are three Lime Kilns and small port [Unable to read.].
CappasallaghtownlandThe 1/4 of this townland on the West is taken up by the House and Demesne of Earlstown. 1/4 of this townland of this and South side is liable to inundation in the Winter season from the River Shannon overflowing its banks adjoining this portion. There is about 50 acres of bog. The remainder is all arable.
CorrtownlandThere is about 50 acres of bog on W. side of this townland also a large Danish Fort. About the centre of the townland lives a Gentleman's seat called Corr Lodge with a Frige Station within [Unable to read.] [Unable to read.] of the House [Unable to read.][Unable to read.][Unable to read.] The whole townland is greatly interspersed with Groves. There is a bye road leading from Eyrecourt to Kilmalinogue runs through the East side of this townland.
DerryhivenytownlandAbout 100 acres on the side of this townland is liable to inundation by the River Shannon in the E. side of this townland [Unable to read.] is an old Castle and close to the S. East two [Unable to read.] [Unable to read.] in ruin.* There is a number of old and new Lime Kilns. There is a small portion of bog in S. of this townland. The remainder is all arable. There are several farm houses in this townland.*Derryhiveny - a castle belonging to Nora na gCaislean.
DerryhyneytownlandRoad from Eyrecourt to Portumna West side of the townland on the E. side of the road is a large Danish Fort with a remarkable [Unable to read.] and a little further a limestone quarry, on the S. side of this townland is Harday, a gentleman's seat, it occupies nearly one half the townland, a little further N. is another Limestone Quarry and about 30 acres of bog. The [Unable to read.] of the townland is all arable. There are a few detached houses in this townland.
GortawullauntownlandIn the S. W. side of this townland is a Corn Mill aaand Mill Dam. The road from Portumna to Eyrecourt runs through a small portion of said townland. On the S. side there is a portion of shrubbery. On the N. side a Frigl Station. It is in general notes [Unable to read.] with trees. It is all arable except the shrubbery.
GortyneilltownlandThere is a village on the side. No name given, but that of the townland adjacent to it is a Lime Kiln. At the N. E. extremity is a Limestone Quarry. Nothing remarkable in this townland. It is all arable.
GurtraytownlandOne half of this townland on the East side is taken up by Fairfield Demesne. Nothing remarkable in this townland. It is all arable with the exception of a small portion of bog at most northern extremity.

It contains three detached portions of Bog (which comprise about the 1/5 of the Parish). 4 Demesnes with a gentleman's seat in Each, namely "Hading Grove", "Corr", "Fair Field" and "Earlstown". The road from Eyrecourt to Portumna passes from N. to S. nearly through centre of Parish. It contains several small portions of fir plantions[Unable to read.]. Orchards, lawns, pleasure ground. A National School, a Dominican Convent. The [Unable to read.] ruins of a Castle, and a Grave Yard containing the ruins of an old Church.
KilnamanogetownlandThe W. side of this townland is taken up by about 40 acres of bog. Towards the S. side is an old church in ruins and grave yard, a few [Unable to read.] In the churchyard is a very large ash tree extending its nine aged arms far and wide, of great size.At the S. W. extremity is a grave pit. Nothing further remarkable. The townland is all arable.
NewtowntownlandRoad from Eyrecourt to Portumna goes through the centre of this townland. The N. portion of this is taken up by furze. It contains a few houses. Two gravel pits and two lime kilns. A Wind Mill towards the centre of the townland is nearby. All arable also a small portion of planting.
SheeauntownlandContains a Trigl. Station on the W. side. A few houses partly in ruins on the E. side. Interspersed with trees. It is all arable.
ToormoretownlandContains one Lime Kiln on the S. side. Nothing else remarkable. It is all arable.
